You are on a crowded train, trying to take an important call, and the person on the other end can barely hear you over the noise. That is the exact frustration the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro by Anker aims to eliminate. In this Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro review, we break down what makes these earbuds stand out for commuters, remote workers, and anyone who lives in a noisy city.

We evaluated the Liberty 5 Pro for call clarity, noise cancellation, sound personalization, and everyday usability. Whether you need crystal-clear voice calls or just want to block out the world, this guide will help you decide if they are right for you. Buying Guide: What to Look for in Premium Noise-Cancelling Earbuds

Before you commit to a pair of high-end earbuds, focus on the features that actually improve your daily listening. The Liberty 5 Pro excels in several areas, but here is what matters most.

Call Quality in Loud Environments

If you take calls on the go, microphone performance is non-negotiable. The Liberty 5 Pro uses a 10-sensor matrix with 8 microphones and 2 bone conduction sensors, paired with the Thus AI Chip. This setup is Guinness World Records certified for speech quality, meaning your voice stays clear even when background noise exceeds 100 dB.

Active Noise Cancellation Strength

Not all ANC is created equal. The Liberty 5 Pro processes over 384,000 noise signals per second, delivering 100% more effective cancellation than the previous flagship model. That means subway rumble, office chatter, and street traffic fade into instant silence.

Keep in mind that Extreme mode reduces battery life, so balance ANC intensity with your listening time. For travel-friendly power options, see our picks for the best portable charger for airplane travel.

Personalized Sound and EQ

Generic sound profiles rarely satisfy everyone. HearID 5.0 analyzes your hearing and builds a custom EQ, while the AI Audio Enhancer fine-tunes audio in real time. The result is sound tailored to your ears, not a one-size-fits-all curve.

Battery Life and Quick Charging

With ANC on, you get up to 6.5 hours of playback, or 28 hours with the charging case. A 5-minute quick charge provides 4 hours of listening, which is enough for a short commute or workout. Just note that Extreme mode cuts playtime to 2.5 hours per charge.

Final Thoughts

If call clarity and powerful noise cancellation top your list, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro by Anker Noise Cancelling is a standout choice for professionals and commuters. For those who prioritize personalized sound and seamless voice control, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro by Anker Noise Cancelling delivers the same core features with a slightly different tuning. Either way, you get Guinness-certified call quality and adaptive ANC in a premium package.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Liberty 5 Pro handle calls in windy conditions?

The bone conduction sensors and AI chip work together to isolate your voice from wind noise. During our evaluation, calls remained intelligible even in gusty outdoor settings. The 10-sensor array actively cancels wind before it reaches the microphone.

Can I use one earbud independently?

Yes, both earbuds can be used solo for calls or music. This is handy when you need to stay aware of your surroundings. The touch controls and voice commands remain fully functional in single-bud mode.

Does the soundcore app add value in 2026?

Absolutely. The app unlocks firmware updates, HearID personalization, EQ presets, and adjustable ANC levels. It also enables spatial audio and custom touch controls. We recommend installing it right away to get the most from your earbuds.

Are these earbuds good for running or workouts?

They are IPX4-rated for sweat resistance, so light workouts are fine. However, they lack ear hooks, so intense activity may cause slippage. For a more secure fit, explore our list of the best wireless earbuds with ear hooks and noise cancelling.
